RP_OD-72Happy February!  This is a very exciting month for me because we are 6 weeks from the official release date of Only Daughter! Over the next few weeks, the album will be making its way to radio stations, press, and record stores.  A few exciting things to report so far:

CD release tour dates are being announced.  Our big NYC CD release show with the full band is March 15, followed by a two week tour of the UK.  In May we’ll be touring Seattle to San Francisco, and in July I’m taking the full band on tour from Ohio to Florida! I’m excited to get out there and play these new songs for you!

Rich is currently putting the finishing touches on his long-awaited solo guitar EP.  It sounds awesome and he’s excited to share it with you, as am I.  The EP will officially be released at my NYC CD Release show, where Rich will open the night with a set of original music. We’ll have the EP for sale at all tour dates to follow.

If you live in the New York area, please tune into WFUV 90.7 on Sunday morning for the excellent “Sunday Breakfast” program with folkie DJ extraordinaire John Platt, where we’ll be doing a live performance and interview!  If you don’t live in town, you can stream the show or listen to podcasts later on the station’s website.

After 10 years together, it was time for a change. Version 2 is up and is much more user friendly than the old one and update for the second decade of the 2000s.  Big thanks to Jaime Borschuk for the excellent design work.

Waste no time. Go to my Bandcamp Page and order the new record! On release day, March 19, you will automatically be emailed a download link to get the entire album immediately and you’ll also have it shipped to you by release day.

Thanks so much for stickin’ with me.

Rich and I took a trip down to Florida a couple weeks ago to play the 30A Songwriters Festival.  It was a great opportunity to see old friends, meet new folks, and check out some fantastic shows incuding Suzanne Vega, Fastball, The Honeycutters, and Freedy Johnston.  If you live down south or can take a short beach vacation in January, highly recommended!

On our way down, we stopped in Virginia at Foamhenge, a life size replica of Stonehenge made out of, what else: styrofoam. On our last UK tour we visited the REAL Stonehenge and promised everyone we’d next check out America’s weird facsimile and report back. It was pretty convincing, but somehow it did not inspire the Spinal Tap sing along. Only in America, right!?
